How much does the operating cost of bar code tickets increase?

The operation cost of bar code tickets includes two parts: ticket base cost and printing carbon tape cost.

The ticket base cost is fixed and necessary, which is the same as the ticket cost when selling tickets manually. The increase is the cost of printing carbon tape. Every time an ordinary bar code printer prints a ticket, it consumes a carbon belt with the same length as the ticket, so the cost of the carbon belt is the increased operating cost. The analysis is as follows:

A roll of ordinary carbon tape: 300m long × 80mm wide, cost about 120 yuan;

Assume a ticket size: 120 mm long × It is 75mm wide. One roll of carbon tape can print 300m / 120mm = 2500 pieces. The cost of carbon tape for each ticket is 120 yuan / 2500 pieces = 0.048 yuan / piece.

Assuming that the scenic spot sells 1 million tickets every year, the carbon belt cost will reach 48000 yuan.

The ribbon cost can be reduced in the following three aspects:

Reduce the purchase cost of carbon ribbon: on the premise of ensuring quality, reduce the purchase cost as much as possible, but there is little space;

Reduce the number of tickets sold: for group tourists, try to adopt the method of "one ticket for many customers". For example, a team of 50 people can only sell one ticket, and the tickets of 50 people are concentrated on one ticket, which greatly reduces the number of tickets printed, saves the carbon ribbon cost and the ticket base cost. Assuming a conservative estimate of one ticket for every two people, the cost of carbon ribbon will be saved by half.

New type printer: the carbon belt consumed by ordinary bar code printer is the same as the paper length. In actual use, the ticket printing area is very small, and the length of carbon belt effectively used only accounts for about 25%. 75% of carbon belt will be wasted with the paper in the non printing area. The carbon belt of the new bar code printer does not move when the blank paper is fed, so that the utilization rate of the carbon belt reaches 100%. The cost of carbon ribbon is greatly saved. However, the cost of this bar code printer is very high, and the price of each printer is about 12000-15000 yuan. The method used needs detailed analysis.
